Delt Has Powerful Influence

Why did you join the Delts as an undergraduate? My sister was dating an older Delt, and I had met several of his housemates. I also had several freshman dorm friends who were pledging Delt.

What is the funniest memory from your Delt days? There are too many to boil down to just one, many of which are not yet de-classified to share with family. I have a very sharp memory (most days), and can recall in great detail stories like: Operation Two-Stone (beautifully documented by Todd Fryburger ‘85), the 50-Keg Mobile, any story involving Bob Dillman ’86 or Stocil, the sheet-bomb wars in the rack room, poling Ethridge, Chuck throwing Bob Altman’s ‘85 brand-new football into a passing combine from the front yard, the original Reach The Beach party and all subsequent floodings of the dining room, Robo making a point to tell stories that made him look like an idiot and dancing on the piano then throwing it out the window when it eventually collapsed, etc…

Why did you join DTD as an undergraduate? I honestly joined Delts on accident. I went to their Rush Night, because my best friend from high school, who was a Delt, encouraged me to join a fraternity (mainly his). When I was given a bid, I was given the choice to accept or decline. I wanted to sit, but the option was never given to me.
