2017-18 Annual Giving Year
So far, in the 2017-18 giving year, we have received one solitary gift to the annual fund. Rather than see this as a shortcoming or something to lament, we need to look at it as a powerful example of what we are capable of when we stick together. The Gamma Upsilon Chapter has gone through some changes and some adversity, yes but times like these are when we need to rise up and rebuild. We have 1,404 active members in or database. Our single donation was for $100. Now imagine that 100 of the brothers from our list, less than 10%, gave $100. Imagine if half of the list gave just $50.
It is up to us, the alumni, brothers for life, to keep the lamps trimmed and burning during the darker times. Many alumni organizations have flourished and found their groove during times of adversity and so can we if we are willing to remember what Gamma Upsilon did for us. Are your experiences and the friends you made along the way worth making a small gift if it means, at the very least, you will be doing your part to keep our brotherhood alive? Together we can right this ship and ascend back to our former place as gentlemen, brothers and friends, but we need your help.
The annual fund runs from September 1 through August 31 each year, and supports alumni communications and chapter resources on a yearly basis. There is still plenty of time to make your gift and help Gamma Upsilon continue its journey into the future. Can we count on you?
