Some Thoughts On Why We Still Give

Gamma Upsilon thanks all of the Brothers who have given to our organization all-time, as well as this year. Have you ever asked yourself why you give? Is it part of your charitable routine? Do you believe in affording the next generation of young men with the same experience you had with Delt? Whatever the case, we thank you. Here are some reasons we collected from past surveys of other Delta Tau Delta members from various chapters around the country about why they have and continue to give back to our organization:

"I support the Fraternity because others supported it when I was an undergrad. It was a great experience and I want others to be able to share in the tradition and grow as a person, like I did."

"My college experience could not have been duplicated anywhere but with DTD. What I learned about relationships, responsibility, leadership and loyalty is still playing itself out in my life today....40 years later.  I support the annual fund so that others can have the same experience."

"I have supported Delt for several reasons. Partially in memory of my father and uncle who were both Delts in the 20's and 30's. I feel that during my college years I received a lot more from the fraternity and my associations that I could ever return at the time. Finally, contributing to the education of future collegians is a legacy I am proud to be a part of."

"The friendships I made at my fraternity are examples of a pure Brotherhood. I transferred from another Chapter as a Junior and the men accepted me with open arms and gave me a place to stay without really knowing me beforehand. The only thing they knew was that I was a Delt. Donating my time and my money is a privilege and a duty to help the current men."
