John Altman ’60 said that, when he thinks back to his time as a member of the undergraduate chapter, he remembers the wonderful friendships he gained. "I also am grateful for the leadership from older brothers, many who were Korean War Veterans," he said.

After graduating from Miami University, John went on to Fuller Theological Seminary and Harvard Business School to pursue graduate degrees. He has served as a first professor of entrepreneurship in the Richard T. Farmer School of Business at Miami University. He also has served on Miami's Alumni and Foundation Boards and was president of the Southern California Alumni Association Chapter.

John continues to serve the university as chair of finance and audit on the Board of Trustees and as a member of the Richard T. Farmer School of Business' Board of Visitors.
