Dave Tumbas ’74 said that his Delta Tau Delta experience provided him with wonderful friendships and great memories. When he pledged as an undergraduate, he could not wait to become part of a truly special brotherhood. "Entering a magnificently large home that housed 64 of the closest friends you could ever imagine was fascinating. We were truly brothers," he said.

Dave added that, as he looks back on his time spent with the brothers, he doesn't remember many conflicts. "I cannot think of a single incident where anyone even got into a heated argument. There was not a single guy who did not belong. Everyone wanted to be there," he said.

According to Dave, the four years he spent at the house were action packed and full of constant brotherhood, and he continues to keep in touch with these brothers today. "I graduated 42 years ago, and I am proud to say that I still keep in touch with dozens of these guys on a regular basis," he said.

One group of brothers has even taken a trip every year for the past 40 years to Quebec to fish together. Their annual reunion at Heuston Woods, near campus, also draws in about 50 guys who graduated in the mid-1970s.

To sum it all up, Dave said that if he had to pick one memory that he was most fond of, it would simply be the brotherhood. "My favorite Delta Tau Delta memory is brotherhood, and I am happy to know it will outlive us all," he said.
