In honor of our Centennial Celebration, we've been asking our alumni members about their favorite memories from their Delta Tau Delta days. John Whalen ’13 said that his favorite memory from his undergraduate days was attending the Sailing Leadership Academy during the summer of 2011. "I met up with 20 other Delts from across the country to learn how to become better leaders in the midst of learning how to sail. After a couple of days of literally learning the ropes, we took over as the crew and sailed the 110 ft. schooner between the islands of Penobscot Bay in Maine," he said.

John added that he's currently living in Jacksonville, Florida, and attending the University of North Florida to earn a Masters of Science in Biology. "I am studying the effects of pollutants on sharks and stingrays," he said.
